Aims

Universitas Negeri Malang Green Campus is directed to achieve the following objectives:

  1. Strategic Objectives: A green campus can overcome many urban and urban environmental problems.
  2. Anticipatory Goals: the green campus is prepared to address environmental problems that are expected to arise in the future.
  3. Futuristic Goal: the green campus will be able to function properly after the plants are 15-25 years old. In addition, the design and layout of plants and their spacing must consider the local environment. For example, do not get too close to buildings so that when the plants mature, they do not interfere with buildings, roads, and waterways.
  4. Functional Goals: green campuses should be directed to address environmental problems, both those that currently exist and those that are expected to emerge in the future.
  5. Objectives of Effectiveness and Efficiency: green campus can play a role in overcoming environmental problems in a minimal area. This must be considered considering that urban land is very expensive and must be available enough to support the city as a center for various activities.
  6. Aesthetic Goals: the layout of the plants is arranged in such a way as to produce a beautiful (aesthetic) impression.
  7. Purpose of Durability: Resistant to natural and artificial environmental stresses.
